PlanePit keeps your aircraft's life on record. A logbook that mostly fills itself in, rotational parts and maintenance you can stay ahead of, and every document in one place you can reach from the ramp. There is a community here too, but only if you want one.
What it is for
Most of us track our flying and our upkeep across a paper logbook, a spreadsheet, a shoebox of receipts, and a folder of PDFs nobody can find when a ramp check asks. PlanePit pulls that into one quiet set of tools made for owners.
The social side exists, and some people will love it. But it sits off to one side. You can run your whole operation here and never post a thing.
The tools
Photograph the Hobbs after shutdown and the entry mostly writes itself: hours, route, and date, all derived and yours to correct. Log from the web, or from a Telegram message on the walk back to the car.
See the journey logTrack time between overhaul on every rotating part and see what is coming due before it sneaks up on you. Upload your existing rotolist and we read it in. New planes start from a template for the type.
One page per annual or squawk, built from photos and notes. Share a link with your mechanic and they add findings without an account. Keep a record of what was done and when it falls due again.
Registration, insurance, weight and balance, the POH. Stored, searchable, and on your phone the moment someone asks to see them.
One aircraft, several pilots, one honest set of hours. Add the others by email, and gap records keep the Hobbs straight when someone flies between your entries. Shared scheduling is on the way.
Optional
There is a map of owners, posts when you feel like sharing a trip, and a way to reach someone flying your type or based where you are headed next. All of it is opt-in, down to each aircraft. No algorithmic feed, no nagging. Use it or leave it closed; the tools work the same either way.

PlanePit is under active development. If a tool is missing a field, an import, or a step that would save you ten minutes, tell us. We read everything. Early access is by approval for now: you verify with a plane registration in your name and a photo, a person checks it, and you are in.
